Yet another year, yet another incredible company retreat! The Hybrid Interaction team embarked on a thrilling journey to Yerevan, Armenia, filled with exciting adventures, fun team-building activities, and memorable experiences.
This year, we had a special surprise at the retreat when Shahar Attias, our CEO, visited Armenia for the first time by crossing the land border from #Georgia with Lali, our Head of Marketing. Coming from Israel, Shahar was amazed by the lush greenery and the rivers in Armenia. It was a fun and light-hearted moment as we joked about his fascination with nature’s beauty, showing that even experienced travelers can still be enchanted by new surroundings.
Let's dive into the highlights of our amazing retreat!
Day 1: Fun, Laughter, and Picture-Perfect Moments
We started our retreat with a burst of excitement and enthusiasm. The day kicked off with a lively photoshoot, where our team members showed off their unique personalities and struck confident poses. Dani, our new Head of CRM, stole the spotlight with his impeccable suit, even in scorching 35℃. We couldn't help but joke about Dani's commitment to style, considering the taxi drivers in Armenia “might” not have air conditioning!
The photo session was filled with laughter and a sense of camaraderie as our talented team members embraced their inner models. Everyone had a great time capturing picture-perfect moments and creating memories together.
Did you guess which phrase belonged to whom?
As the sun began to set, we gathered together to enjoy refreshing pina coladas and indulge in the delicious flavors of authentic Armenian cuisine. It was the perfect opportunity to cool off, unwind, and share a few laughs about Dani's suit choice in the heat. We also couldn't help but chuckle about the photographer's fascination with our beautiful girls and the newly unveiled catchphrases that had us in stitches.
Day 2: Balancing Work and Growth
After a day of excitement and enjoyment, it was time to dive into the essence of our retreat: personal and professional growth. With our company experiencing rapid expansion, it was essential to establish a strong organizational structure and foster better team collaboration. Through engaging workshops and interactive sessions, we delved into various aspects of our work, enhancing our understanding of each other's roles and responsibilities.
One crucial and lighthearted topic that emerged during our discussions was the age-old debate of pineapple on pizza! Lali boldly declared her love for pepperoni with pineapple, while Shahar and Dani were genuinely outraged by the combination. The room buzzed with playful banter as opinions clashed. Sensing the potential for a friendly food fight, the rest of the team wisely decided to stay out of the pineapple pizza debate and instead focused on enjoying their meals before things got too heated, both literally and figuratively.
Despite the differing pizza preferences, our team's ability to engage in spirited discussions while maintaining a sense of humor showcased our unity and the vibrant dynamics that make our company culture so unique. It was another moment of connection and laughter that added a touch of fun to our retreat experience.
Day 3: Building Stronger Bonds through Team Activities
No company retreat is complete without engaging in team-building activities. On day 3, we embarked on a series of challenges to strengthen our communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Here are a few highlights from our action-packed day:
The Perfect Square: This activity pushed us to communicate effectively and showcase our leadership styles. Blindfolded, we worked together to form a perfect square with a rope, relying solely on trust and clear instructions.
Use What You Have: Divided into teams, we faced a creative challenge that required us to build a device using only the available supplies. This exercise encouraged us to think outside the box, leverage our collective creativity, and solve problems with limited resources.
Triangulate Your Place: A fast-paced activity that put our coordination and adaptability to the test. Assembled in the shape of a triangle, we had to rearrange ourselves swiftly and accurately based on the spinner's chosen direction. It demanded quick thinking, cooperation, and a shared goal.
The Hybrid Interaction company retreat in Yerevan was a resounding success, filled with laughter, personal growth, and unforgettable memories. We left Armenia with stronger bonds, a deeper understanding of each other, and renewed enthusiasm to tackle future challenges as a united team.
